Description
The Fabrication Mechanic coordinates and performs the layout, setup, and operation of fabrication and machining equipment to manufacture metal components according to blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and production schedules. The role includes setting up and operating equipment such as shears, presses, mills, lathes, saws, and power tools; measuring and inspecting parts; troubleshooting equipment; performing preventative maintenance; and maintaining a safe work environment. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training, or six years of related experience in lieu of a diploma or GED, with metal fabrication and manufacturing experience preferred. The stated pay is $19.00–$23.00 per hour, with a 10% shift differential for second-shift employees.
