Description
Protolabs is hiring a Sheet Metal Operator for a second-shift manufacturing role running from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The operator will use lasers, press brakes, hardware insertion machines, and drills to produce prototype sheet metal parts, load programs, adjust offsets, inspect quality, maintain production schedules, follow safety and housekeeping procedures, and complete operator preventive maintenance. The role requires 0–1 years of manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of machining or related education, familiarity with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and CAD/CAM, strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to use measuring instruments. The position is open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are ineligible. A second-shift differential of $2.40 is mentioned, while base wage and other compensation vary by position and factors.
