Description
The Shelter Manager plans, directs, and supervises volunteers, community-service staff, and assigned employees while assisting overnight and daytime shelter residents. The role handles client intake, HMIS and other records, security checks, facility safety, food and supply inventory, payments, social-service referrals, and Celebrate Recovery programs. It requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of shelter security or social-services experience with one year of supervisory experience or equivalent training and experience, a valid state driver's license, and applicable food-handler and first-aid certifications.
