The Orange County Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for a Sheriff's Correctional Services Assistant Trainee to establish an eligible list for future correctional-service positions. The role includes learning civil law, CDCR regulations, jail operations, security, and compliance; preparing reports and memos; maintaining records; and performing closely supervised duties in the jail or other department areas. Trainees must complete a nine-week department-sponsored training course and may be promoted to Sheriff's Correctional Services Assistant within one year.
