Description
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is hiring Sheriff's Deputies to patrol unincorporated areas, respond to service calls, investigate crimes and traffic accidents, enforce laws, make arrests, recover property, testify in court, and perform other law enforcement duties. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21, be United States citizens, hold a valid driver's license, pass physical and psychological evaluations, and be currently certified as a law enforcement officer in good standing. POST certification is required, with Tennessee POST certification preferred; one year of full-time POST-certified law enforcement experience is preferred but not required. Sign-on bonuses are offered for Tennessee POST-certified deputies and for deputies POST-certified in other states.
