Description
The Shift Engineer (4th Class Power Engineer) will monitor, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the hotel’s boilers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, building automation, and life-safety systems during rotating shifts. The role includes responding to equipment failures and emergencies, completing preventive maintenance, maintaining safety and operational records, and following lockout/tagout and occupational health and safety procedures. A valid British Columbia Fourth Class Power Engineer Certificate is required, while hotel or commercial building experience, technical education, CMMS and building automation experience, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills are preferred.
