Description
The Shift Engineer supports the smooth and safe operation of a hotel’s engineering and maintenance functions during an assigned shift. Responsibilities include monitoring electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, water, fire and life safety, and other building systems; responding to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns; troubleshooting and coordinating corrective and preventive maintenance; inspecting plant rooms, equipment, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas; supporting contractors; maintaining records; and conducting shift handovers. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, basic knowledge of hotel building systems, troubleshooting and safety skills, English proficiency, computer skills, and availability for shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts.
