DS Smith Packaging is hiring a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias for its Burscough site. The role supports plant and asset reliability through preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance; quality, cost, safety, contractor supervision, records, and training. It follows a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern with two 12-hour days and two 12-hour nights, averages 42 hours per week, and expects overtime. The position requires sound maintenance experience, electrical or mechanical apprenticeship knowledge, computer and Excel skills, autonomous maintenance experience, and strong fault-finding ability; SAP maintenance-management experience is advantageous. The salary is £54,300, with annual leave, a discretionary site bonus, pension, life assurance, income protection, and other benefits.
