Description
DS Smith is hiring a Shift Manager for its Featherstone manufacturing site. The role manages production from goods-in to goods-out, leads two direct reports, and oversees safety, quality, waste, productivity, housekeeping, team development, incident investigations, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement, cost control, and stakeholder relationships. It follows a rotating 4-on-4-off schedule of two 12-hour days and two 12-hour nights, with 18 days off after seven rotations. Candidates should have previous manufacturing or packaging management experience, leadership and communication skills, knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement, IT skills, and a record of driving performance and change; leadership qualifications are advantageous.
