Description
The Sergeant directly supervises assigned correctional officers and is responsible for the custody, discipline, security, and safety of offenders at the Wilkinson County Correctional Facility. Duties include supervising staff and offenders, conducting searches, transporting and restraining offenders, maintaining records, responding to emergencies, and using force when necessary. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, one year of corrections experience, and a valid Mississippi or Louisiana driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
