Description
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of a shelter, ensuring client services run smoothly, safely, and on time. Responsibilities include supervising activities, managing schedules, overseeing facility safety and cleanliness, conducting safety checks, coordinating transportation, tracking client appointments, and ensuring staff follow health, safety, and privacy rules. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of experience in human services (preferably with individuals experiencing homelessness or substance use issues), and the ability to obtain FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness within 30 days of hire, as well as CPR and NYC Food Handler’s certifications. This is a full-time non-exempt role located in Brooklyn, NY, offering $24.05 per hour ($43,775 annually for 35 hours per week) with a full benefits package.
