DB Fernverkehr AG is hiring a ship engine operator (m/f/d) for the Wangerooge island service at its Harlesiel location. The role involves independently operating, monitoring, repairing, and maintaining main propulsion and auxiliary machinery in the engine room, inspecting lifting tackle, and performing seafaring tasks such as mooring, line handling, and crane operation. Applicants must hold a valid ship engine operator certificate up to 750 kW, a current certificate of fitness for sea service, and other valid competency certificates, along with strong communication, tablet and app skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
