Description
The Shop Assistant/Machine Operator supports Red Head’s manufacturing team by loading and unloading CNC machinery, setting up and operating manual lathes, drills, and Bridgeport mills, finishing parts, backfilling production gaps, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, maintaining production and safety standards, and completing paperwork. The role requires physical stamina, mechanical aptitude, manufacturing-process knowledge, and some on-the-job training; a high school diploma or GED is preferred, with vocational training advantageous. The starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with experience-based adjustments.
