Description
The Shop Mechanic evaluates, disassembles, repairs, assembles, balances, and tests industrial motors and related equipment, including three-phase electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes. The role also involves operating test equipment, completing work orders, identifying parts, tracking components, routing outside machine work, and maintaining a safe shop environment. The position requires mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, multimeter use, documentation skills, basic math, and the ability to work independently and follow safety procedures. It is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as required, and pays $22 to $25 per hour.
