The Shop Tech I supports safe, efficient, and high-quality shop operations by inspecting, maintaining, repairing, testing, and preparing equipment, tools, machinery, electrical systems, and control systems. Responsibilities include cleaning and sharpening plates and blades, maintaining shop cleanliness, assisting with maintenance, and handling grinder knife sets. The role requires mechanical and hand-tool skills, physical work in hot, humid, cold, and wet conditions, and the ability to stand for at least 12 hours per day.
