Description
The Shoreside Tankerman is responsible for safely loading and offloading barges, operating tankering equipment, maintaining vessel safety and housekeeping, completing logs and records, and supporting tankerman trainees. The role requires a 24-hour on-call schedule, physical work including lifting up to 75 pounds, outdoor work in extreme conditions, and compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of direct industry experience, operational experience, U.S. Coast Guard tankerman certification, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
