Description
The Long Beach Unified School District is hiring a 10-month, 81.3% FTE (approximately 32.5 hours per week) Sign Language Interpreter to provide American Sign Language, manually coded signed English, and voicing interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, staff, parents, teachers, and others. The role includes classroom and special-event interpretation, IEP participation, instructional support, student guidance, safety monitoring, and confidentiality. Candidates must have an equivalent high-school education, RID or equivalent certification with a score of 4.0 or higher, and may be required to use a personal automobile and hold a California Class C driver's license.
