Description

Microsoft is hiring a Debug Engineer to support the Maia and Cobalt silicon programs. The role is hands-on and responsible for silicon debug, FA/FI, debug tool readiness, developing silicon debug methodologies, and performing root-cause analysis on product issues, circuit marginalities, and special circuit failures. The engineer will use ATE and analytical equipment, manage external vendors, and lead cross-functional sub-projects. Required qualifications include a relevant master's degree with at least one year of technical engineering experience, or a relevant bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with integrated circuits, ATE testing, silicon debug, FA/FI, SoC debug methodologies, system-level debug, DFT/DFM, characterization, and device physics. The typical U.S. base pay range is USD 102,100–202,200 per year, with higher ranges for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan areas.
