Description

Shield AI is hiring a Simulation and Software Quality Engineer to lead simulation-driven testing, automation, and software quality for Hivemind autonomy software. The role develops regression, integration, and system tests; creates test frameworks and plans; diagnoses software issues; builds Python tools and SIL/HIL/VIL test harnesses; supports simulation infrastructure; and integrates test coverage into CI/CD. Candidates need substantial related experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Python proficiency, and experience with robotics, small UAS, or related hands-on engineering projects.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience; alternatively, a Master’s degree with 5 years of experience or a PhD with 4 years of experience.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 7 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with a master’s degree or PhD.
Experience in robotics, small UAS, or related hands-on engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience testing autonomous systems, robotics software, or flight autonomy algorithms.
Familiarity with C++ and software/hardware integration concepts.
Experience with HIL or VIL test environments.
Exposure to machine learning or AI-driven autonomy systems.
