IonQ is hiring a Simulation Physicist for its Ion Transport and Waveform Design team to develop control schemes and waveforms for ion transport, simulate ion-chain physics in RF Paul traps, and collaborate with experimental, commercial, and quantum-architecture teams. The role requires a PhD in atomic physics, quantum information, or a related field, trap-design or experimental-hardware experience, and numerical-physics simulation skills. It is an onsite position in Boulder, Colorado, with up to 10% travel, and offers a base salary of $110,336 to $144,459 plus bonus and equity.
