Description

Forward is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to build its reliability engineering function from the ground up for a complex, distributed SaaS platform. The role owns SRE practices, observability infrastructure, incident response, reliability integration across the software development lifecycle, and the growth of the SRE team. Candidates need at least six years of experience in site reliability, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering in a SaaS or cloud environment, along with strong networking, Kubernetes, observability, scripting, cloud, and infrastructure-as-code expertise. The base pay range is $230,000 to $250,000.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering in a SaaS or cloud environment
Experience building or significantly maturing an SRE function
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments
Proficiency with observability tooling
Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar
Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code
Experience owning and improving incident response processes
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with network management or observability platforms
Experience supporting enterprise or federal government customers with high availability requirements
