Description

The Site Reliability and Operations Engineer will work with application teams to automate operations, optimize infrastructure, and resolve issues in support of ETS applications serving the Apple ecosystem. The role focuses on reliable, scalable, high-performing systems and requires extensive reliability, DevOps, infrastructure, programming, database, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and distributed-systems experience, along with experience deploying, supporting, and monitoring services and platforms.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Required Previous Experiences: 8-10+ years in Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure-focused work
Advanced programming or scripting experience with Python, Bash, LUA, or GoLang
Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including Oracle and MongoDB
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based source control, release engineering, and DevOps practices
Experience deploying, supporting, and monitoring services, platforms, and application stacks
Experience automating manual operational work using software and AI/GenAI technologies
Understanding of Linux internals, networking protocols, and distributed system components
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing and scaling distributed systems in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments
Experience operating large system fleets with Puppet, Ansible, or Spinnaker
Proficiency with Linux, networking, TLS/SSL, DNS, load balancers, and large-scale troubleshooting
Understanding of security standards, cryptography, and enterprise policies
Experience with incident and problem management and root-cause analysis
Experience with Nginx, Envoy, and NetScaler load balancing
Understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, secrets, deployments, and containerization
Hands-on experience with AliCloud, AWS, or GCP
Familiarity with microservices architecture and Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration
