SpaceX is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer focused on its Starshield Kubernetes platform and software and network infrastructure. The role involves automating on-premise Kubernetes clusters, managing databases, monitoring, and distributed storage, collaborating with software engineers, improving service availability, and troubleshooting across the Starshield stack. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, Linux, infrastructure automation, containerization, scripting, and development experience. The position requires a Top Secret security clearance, extended hours and weekends, and ITAR-eligible status. Compensation ranges from $125,000 to $195,000 depending on level, with medical, vision, dental, retirement, and other benefits.
