Description

NetApp is hiring a Technical Operations Engineer (OpenSearch) for its Instaclustr team in Bangalore, India. The role supports the availability, performance, and reliability of large-scale, cloud-hosted OpenSearch clusters through monitoring, troubleshooting, lifecycle operations, L2 on-call response, customer collaboration, automation, and reliability improvements. It requires hands-on OpenSearch experience or strong willingness to develop expertise, public-cloud experience, Linux administration, distributed-systems knowledge, containerization, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree, 6 years and a Master’s degree, or a PhD with 3 years of experience; equivalent experience may also qualify.
Required Previous Experiences: Hands-on OpenSearch experience, including troubleshooting, upgrades, and migrations, or strong willingness to develop deep expertise.
Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong Linux system administration skills and comfort with command-line environments.
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and take ownership of tasks.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributed systems such as Cassandra or Kafka.
Familiarity with source code debugging and issue investigation using Jira or codebase review.
