Description

Erste Digital is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support reliable, secure, and scalable PostgreSQL database services across AWS and Google Cloud. The role covers database administration, configuration, backups, recovery, monitoring, performance tuning, incident response, security, high availability, disaster recovery, automation, and observability. Candidates need recent production experience with PostgreSQL and cloud database services, SQL and scripting skills, Linux knowledge, and familiarity with DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 2-4 years of recent experience administering PostgreSQL databases, cloud database services, or infrastructure platforms in production environments
Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries
Experience with managed database services in AWS and/or Google Cloud
Experience with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages and basic Linux/Unix administration
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, automation tools, DevOps practices, and CI/CD concepts
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or cloud migration initiatives
