Description
Cormac is seeking a permanent Skilled Groundworker to support civil engineering and construction contracts on sites across Plymouth and Tavistock. The role involves laying kerbs and drainage, excavating and backfilling trenches, handling and applying construction materials, operating small powered equipment, loading and unloading materials, maintaining site safety and tidiness, and supporting other site operatives. Candidates need relevant groundworks, construction, or civil engineering experience, a valid CSCS card, a UK driving licence with appropriate vehicle experience, physical fitness, and availability for flexible hours and overtime. The salary is up to £39,931 depending on experience, with a 45-hour Monday-to-Friday work week and occasional weekend and night work.
