Description
The Slitter Operator will slit raw material and coils in a manufacturing environment, inspecting materials for defects and measuring finished coils to verify conformance with specifications. The role operates and sets up slitter equipment, monitors machine indicators, collects production data, follows safety and 5S procedures, maintains work areas, and may operate forklifts and overhead cranes. A high school diploma or GED, at least one year of slitting experience, basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, manual dexterity, and experience with measuring devices are required.
