Lapham-Hickey Steel Corporation is hiring a full-time Steel Slitter Operator for its Madison, Illinois plant. The role involves setting up and operating a slitter machine according to customer specifications and work orders, inspecting and measuring steel coils and slitted material, adjusting equipment, running coils at maximum speed, documenting production, and reporting quality or compliance issues. The position requires manufacturing experience, physical labor in a plant environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; crane, forklift, machine-operation, and caliper experience are preferred.
