SMX is hiring a Journeyman SOC Analyst to support NAWCAD customers onsite at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The role focuses on detecting and responding to cyber threats, managing SIEM, firewall, IDS/IPS, threat and vulnerability management, data loss prevention, and traffic inspection tools, correlating alerts, analyzing network traffic and malicious activity, documenting incidents, and supporting cyber defense reporting and network security engineering. The position requires a Top Secret clearance, 3–5 years of applicable experience, CompTIA Network+, operating system certifications, and DoD-8140 compliance; Linux experience is desired. The proposed salary is $87,700–$146,100 USD, and the employer does not sponsor employment authorization or immigration support.
