Description

Micron Technology is hiring a Physical Verification Engineer for its Heterogeneous Integration Group to own full-chip physical verification for next-generation HBM logic dies and memory-centric SoCs. The role covers DRC, LVS, ERC, PERC, antenna, DFM, reliability, RC extraction, foundry rule decks, verification automation, and AI-enabled physical verification workflows, with collaboration across physical design, EDA, foundry, and silicon bring-up teams. Candidates need advanced-node physical verification experience, industry tool knowledge, RTL-to-GDS implementation knowledge, and proficiency with AI-enabled development workflows; the US base salary range is $97,000 to $205,000 per year.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Full-chip or block-level physical verification for advanced-node SoC, memory, or heterogeneous integration designs
Physical verification methodologies including DRC, LVS, ERC, PERC, DFM, antenna, and reliability sign-off
Industry physical verification tools such as Calibre, IC Validator, or Pegasus, including rule deck development or customization
RTL-to-GDS implementation flows, including place-and-route and extraction
AI and AI-enabled development workflows
Preferred Qualifications: HBM, DRAM, or memory-centric SoC physical verification, including multi-die, chiplet, or 2.5D/3D integration
GPU, CPU, or high-performance accelerator physical implementation at advanced process nodes
Foundry rule documents, FEOL and BEOL rules, and advanced design for manufacturability guidelines
Post-silicon failure analysis, yield learning, or layout-based debug with silicon correlation
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with at least two years of relevant industry experience
