Description
King County Public Health is hiring three career-service Social Services Professionals (Substance Use Disorder Care Coordinators) to provide screening, assessment, brief intervention, supportive counseling, discharge planning, case management, treatment coordination, naloxone distribution, and overdose-prevention education for people involved with the criminal legal system. The role is based at the King County Correctional Facility in Seattle and the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent, with candidates available to work at either site and occasional community visits. It requires Substance Use Disorder Professional registration, at least two years of relevant experience, BLS/CPR certification, and a background investigation and pre-employment physical. The schedule is typically a 40-hour week on a 4/10 schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with possible weekend work and expanded hours as the program expands.
