SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is hiring a full-time Social Worker 3 for its New York State Access Abortion Program. The role provides end-to-end social, emotional, and therapeutic support to abortion patients before and after pregnancy termination, conducts psychological and clinical assessments, makes grief and loss resource referrals, coordinates with obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and other healthcare teams, and ensures compliance with departmental and institutional abortion policies and regulatory standards.
