Renesas Electronics is hiring a Software Architect for its Embedded Processing team in Austin, Texas. The role leads software emulation tools for shift-left development, defining architectural standards, developing virtual platforms and hardware/software co-emulation frameworks, building CI/CD pipelines, debugging system-level issues, enabling customers, and mentoring engineers. It requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field, at least 8 years of professional software development experience, and 3+ years in technical leadership or team lead capacity, along with expertise in Synopsys Virtual Platform, QEMU, SIMICS, ZEBU/HAPS, C/C++, Python, and embedded systems. The position is hybrid, with 3–4 days on-site and occasional travel.
