Tango is hiring a Backend Architect to own backend architecture, API and service standards, distributed-system design, data and storage, AI/LLM integration, platform infrastructure, security, technical debt, and production reliability. The role requires 8–10+ years of backend engineering experience, including recent architect or tech lead experience, and involves mentoring engineers, participating in hiring, and collaborating with product, mobile, data, cloud, and business teams. The position is on-site with four days at the office and one day working from home, and includes stock options, medical insurance, and other employee benefits.
