TED is hiring a Software Architect, Back-End to own and evolve the back-end systems powering its media, identity, and conference products. The role focuses on large-scale Ruby on Rails and MySQL systems, 24/7/365 service reliability, APIs, scalability, security, observability, testing, and collaboration with product, engineering, and stakeholder teams. It requires extensive Ruby on Rails, MySQL, software development, DevOps, API, and database experience, along with the ability to refactor legacy systems and lead projects from inception through completion.
