Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Hardware Security team to build and own security-focused software protecting AWS hardware, supply chains, and global infrastructure. The role involves developing firmware-analysis, security-testing, and vulnerability-assessment tools; designing scalable automated security and compliance tools; and leading technical decisions and mentoring team members. It requires at least five years of professional software development experience, programming experience, system design or architecture leadership, and mentorship or engineering-team leadership experience. The position is available in Cupertino, California, and Austin, Texas, with base salaries of $193,300–$261,500 and $168,100–$227,400 annually, respectively.
