Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Software Dev Engineer – C++, Networking to design, develop, qualify, and maintain high-performance networking software for distributed applications and core infrastructure. The role focuses on improving scalability, efficiency, reliability, and customer experience, diagnosing bottlenecks, optimizing resource utilization, modernizing legacy components, and integrating Generative AI Agents into operational workflows. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or an equivalent field, plus 6–9 years of C/C++ software development experience; networking software, Linux, data structures and algorithms, high-availability systems, and Generative AI experience are preferred. The role is hybrid, requiring an average of two days per week at an HPE office.
