Description
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is hiring an AI Agent Engineer in Austin, Texas, to research, design, implement, and manage software programs, including autonomous workflows and Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems. The role requires four years of AI/ML engineering or advanced data science experience, production-grade autonomous-agent development, context engineering, LangChain or related frameworks, RAG architectures, Python, LLM API integration, AI governance, Model Context Protocol, guardrails, and data-privacy knowledge. The position is three days remote with two onsite days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, limited to candidates within a 50-mile radius of Austin, and requires three professional references.
