Mashgin is hiring a Software Developer to build and own end-to-end software for its checkout kiosks and the infrastructure supporting them. The role involves developing video capture, encoding, streaming, and cloud pipelines; making codec and streaming-protocol decisions; debugging hardware and network issues; and collaborating with hardware, machine learning, and backend teams. Candidates need at least five years of relevant coding experience, a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with video codecs, encoding, streaming protocols, and both edge/device and cloud systems.
