Intermedia is hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services for its cloud-hosted PBX platform. The role involves architecture decisions, performance analysis, production debugging, QA collaboration, unit testing, code reviews, and mentoring. It is primarily remote with occasional visits to Coimbra or Aveiro, and requires at least two years of backend-focused software development experience, Python, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, HTTP/HTTPS APIs, SQL, legacy-code modification, high-load systems, CI/CD, test automation, and concurrency debugging.
