Viridien is hiring a Software Developer – Data Platform & Distributed Systems to design and develop a distributed, microservices-based platform for data cataloguing, metadata management, and high-volume transactional workflows. The role covers backend development, APIs, data modelling, query and application performance, containerisation, CI/CD, Kubernetes, messaging, caching, system architecture, and service reliability. Required qualifications include backend and distributed-systems experience, MongoDB or PostgreSQL, data modelling, Kafka and Redis, Docker and Kubernetes, and strong problem-solving skills; Golang, observability, data-intensive systems, and technical leadership are preferred. The position offers a hybrid model with up to two days at home and flexible working.
