Curtiss-Wright is hiring an intermediate, onsite Software Developer in Ottawa, Ontario to design, develop, test, support, and enhance embedded firmware and software for rugged embedded computer products used in the defense industry. The role involves embedded systems engineering for Intel, Power Architecture, and Arm processors, requirements analysis, architecture and code reviews, board-level technical analysis, troubleshooting, debugging, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary engineering team. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent) and at least five years of software development experience, with additional assets including bootloader development, bare-metal programming, board bring-up, Linux/VxWorks/Windows, Git, JIRA, Python, hardware debugging tools, and embedded interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, USB, SATA, eMMC, and NVMe.
