Description

The Distributed Systems Engineer will design, develop, and operate massively scalable distributed systems powering Amazon WorkSpaces Core virtual desktop infrastructure. The role spans the full technology stack, including end-user experiences, platform services, provisioning, management, and performance at scale, and requires collaboration with diverse engineering teams. Candidates need substantial software development and distributed-systems experience, programming experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
1+ years of Object-Oriented Design experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
