EMG Automation GmbH is hiring a Software Developer Java to develop a cloud-capable data platform for the EU research project Project CircSmeltSteel and further develop the EMG iCASS® product platform. The role involves designing modular, event-driven, edge-capable software for the metal industry, developing AI-based production-optimization solutions, designing APIs and interfaces for near real-time data processing, using CI/CD pipelines for containerized deployments, and coordinating with product owners, architects, and international project partners. A completed degree in computer science or a comparable field is required; Java, C++, Git, CI/CD, Linux, and container technologies are specified, with Spring Boot and GitLab CI/CD preferred. The position is based in Wenden and offers flexible working hours and mobile working.
