Description
The Java Runtimes Team at Amazon is hiring a Java Runtime Engineer to improve the performance, efficiency, scalability, and availability of OpenJDK, Amazon Corretto, and related Java runtimes. The role focuses on JIT compilation, garbage collection, runtime subsystems, compiler and library optimizations, profiling and observability tooling, and tuning across x86 and Graviton architectures. Candidates need substantial software development, systems architecture, OpenJDK or managed runtime, compiler, and JVM experience, with upstream contributions and a strong track record in performance work preferred.
