Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer to build and scale the services and cloud layer of VirtSat, a virtual satellite simulation platform for Amazon Leo. The role owns the simulation control plane, including entity lifecycle APIs, orchestration workflows, health-check aggregation, continuous canaries, observability, and multi-tenant provisioning throughput. It requires distributed-systems expertise, large-scale API and service design, AWS knowledge, and experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
