Amazon Web Services is hiring Software Development Engineers for a central pipeline supporting current and future SDE roles across AWS and related teams. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software; implementing complex solutions; collaborating with cross-functional teams; resolving performance and production issues; participating in architecture reviews; and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, three years of complex software-systems experience, two years of experience with large-scale distributed or embedded applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Preferred qualifications include Python or C++ knowledge, Linux and networking experience, and full-stack application experience. The position offers base salaries of $143,700–$223,600 annually depending on location, along with health insurance and other benefits.
