Description
The Optimization Data Software Development Engineer will design, build, and scale high-throughput, highly available data ingestion and processing systems for AWS Compute Optimizer and related cost-optimization products. The role owns end-to-end systems across many regions, including GovCloud and isolated partitions, and partners with data scientists to deliver clean, well-structured data lakes. Responsibilities include handling millions of resource metrics and billing data, establishing ingestion and publishing SLAs, implementing backfill and data-correction paths, and improving data quality and operational excellence. The position requires substantial software development and distributed-systems experience, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and programming experience; the Seattle, Washington location lists a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
