Amazon is hiring a Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and operate globally distributed systems for Amazon Leo’s satellite network. The role focuses on agentic AI for autonomous operational intelligence, including multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, natural language interfaces, RAG, hybrid search, data lakehouse and OLAP analytics, distributed vector databases, and scalable cloud services and APIs. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, one year of distributed software experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status.
