AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer for its Amazon Dedicated Cloud Networking team to design and build highly distributed, mission-critical systems that automate network provisioning, event detection, workflow testing, and service delivery. The role leads challenging distributed-systems projects, develops cloud-computing services, partners with network engineering and customer teams, and contributes to documentation and service quality. Candidates need a bachelor's degree or CSSLP, at least five years of professional software development experience, programming experience, design or architecture leadership experience, and experience mentoring or leading engineering teams. The position requires a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and is based in Herndon, Virginia, with a base salary of $168,100 to $227,400 annually.
